Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.
Area covering is a task/skill that is essential for energy efficient domestic robots like vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers (existing systems perform inefficient quasi random traversals). The aim of this project is to investigate possible approaches (including extension of RatSLAM and use of network cameras). This project is in collaboration with Professor Gordon Wyeth.
