Overview
Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.
In complex information environments, the process of decision making is challenging. Recently it has been shown from studies in cognitive science that quantum probabilities align better with human decision making. These quantum-based models have a network structure, which can easily be supported by a user interface to easily frame a decision problem.
Suits: IT student with a background in programming.
Hypothesis/Aims: The aim of this project is to build a decision support tool where decision problems are framed as network structures via a graphical user interface. The aim is the tool will be made available by open source.
Approaches:
- Design and implementation of a decision support tool
- Empirical evaluation of the tool on a number of example problems
