Research services

QUT's Division of Research and Commercialisation provides leadership and management of the University's research and commercialisation endeavours with the aim of providing high impact outcomes for industry and the community.

  • The Research Students Centre provides access to a wide range of research training and career development resources, including training and accreditation for research supervisors. Workshops, short courses, and online resources are offered free to QUT research staff.

The training provided the Research Students Centre is augmented by a range of services from online modules accredited awards offered by the eGrad School.

Commercialisation

qutbluebox is the technology transfer and commercialisation company for QUT. bluebox is responsible for commercially exploiting research outcomes developed at the University through the licensing of intellectual property rights, formation of start-up companies, and management of other related industry interactions.

eResearch at QUT

QUT is emerging as a leader in many eResearch areas. Staff and students engaged in research at QUT benefit from solutions which help ease the technological burden of conducting research.

Policy

  • Ethics: QUT meets national guidelines for the ethical conduct of research involving humans, animals and in relation to biosafety.
  • Intellectual Property: QUT has established intellectual property policies for staff and for students
  • Code of Conduct for Research: QUT outlines an institutional standard of integrity in research.
  • Repository for research outputs: QUT ePrints presents the total publicly available research and scholarly output of the University.
