QUT invites all staff and students to celebrate Pride Month and get involved with our program of events and activities taking place throughout September. Come along and show your support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) culture and community.
Ally Network Training at QUT

Allies are trained to understand sexuality and gender issues and to provide ‘safe zones’, support and referral for staff and students who identify as LGBTIQ. Register via StaffConnect.

Pride Market Week
19 September, 10.00am-2.00pm, Gardens Point Campus
QUT's student social club The Pride of QUT will be running a market day event. Come alone to QUT's Gardens Point Campus to check out a wide range of stalls and services targeted at the LGBTIQ community, as well as free entertainment!

The Brisbane Pride Rally & March
23 September, 9.30am, Outside Winn Street (outside Rapid Testing, near the Beat), Fortitude Valley.
Equity Services welcomes QUT staff and students to join the Brisbane Pride March. This is a good time for individuals, groups and allies to participate and demonstrate acceptance, unity, inclusivity and support for the LGBTIQ community.

Queer Careers Panel
26 September, 6.00pm-8.00pm, Gibson Room (GP-Z1064), Gardens Point Campus
Equity Services and Out for Australia will come together to deliver an LGBTIQ Careers Symposium. Come along and be a part of the conversation. Three panelist from diverse professional backgrounds will share speak about their experience identifying as LGBTIQ in the workplace and socially.
