Practising law in Queensland
To be admitted to the legal profession in Queensland, you must complete practical training. Our Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice satisfies this practical training requirement.
Before you can apply for the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, you must have your degree assessed by the Legal Practitioner Admissions Board Queensland (LPAB). The assessment can take up to eight weeks. You'll be sent a letter advising you of the outcome.
Depending on where you completed your law degree, you may be required to complete four to six more units of study. You can study these units at QUT, and apply for the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice after you complete them.
