Learning and teaching
We have a mix of full-time academics and practising legal professionals with solid professional and community experience. Several of our academics recently received prestigious teaching fellowships and awards from the Australian Learning and Teaching Council.
Mooting and mock trials
We have built up a strong mooting program over many years. Each year we conduct internal moots, compete in interstate and international competitions, and host a competition that attracts entries from universities around Australia.
Crime Club
The Crime club is an innovative crime solving activity that provides a real-world training experience for law and justice students.
Analyst's Notebook
We are the only university in Australasia to offer formal education using industry-standard software, IBM i2 Analyst’s Notebook.
Work placements and projects
Our internships and placements provide our students with a real-world, work integrated learning experience through supervised interactions with a legal or justice-related workplace environment.
QUT Association of Law and Justice Students (QUOTALS)
QUOTALS is a student run, not for profit organisation which represents and supports our law and justice students.
