About the faculty

The QUT Law Faculty is a place for people who want to make a difference. Our graduates are accomplished leaders in the global community, and competent professionals within the disciplines of law and justice. They work in all sectors of the global economy, employed by large multi-national companies and small community-based organisations.

Our history

Established in 1976, the School of Law celebrated the 30th anniversary of its first intake of students into the undergraduate law course in 2007, marking the school as the 11th law program established in Australia.

In 2011, the School of Justice marked the 20th anniversary of its establishment. Today we have more than 3,500 law and justice students, and 150 professional and academic staff.

The work of students and faculty is supported by excellent staff and a depth of resources provided by the Law School library.
