Undergraduate nursing study tours

Since 2006 we've been sending groups of undergraduate nursing students to various overseas destinations to observe and reflect on the nursing profession globally, and enjoy an invaluable life experience.

The program promotes personal and professional cultural awareness and is supported by our strong relationships with schools of nursing in other countries.

Past destinations include:

• Nanjing and Shanghai, China
• Hua-lien, Taiwan
• Bethlehem, USA
• Stavanger, Norway.

This opportunity to participate in a two-week observational study tour, taken after exams in November each year, is available to a select group of second-year undergraduate nursing students.

Public health and social work international teaching and practical placements

We offer hands-on experience to undergraduate public health and social work students. Our 2011 program was supported by grant funding from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and the School of Public Health and Social work.

In 2011 our students undertook placements in:

• Hanoi, Vietnam
• Hue, Vietnam
• Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
• Puducherry, India.
