International groups and institutions
You can stipulate the length of the course, and request a suitable time of year for it to be run. Courses can be 1-12 weeks long; most are 4-8 weeks long.
Australian groups and institutions
You can request courses to be run either part-time or full-time at a time that's convenient for you.

Contact our Development Office to let us know what your group requires. We can then send you a sample program and budget proposal based on your needs.
Outcomes
Key outcomes are based on the aims of each course.
Each short course graduate receives a certificate of completion.
Participants who are studying an education degree at a university outside Australia may be eligible for credit towards that degree, subject to an agreement between QUT and their home institution.
We can design courses to include subject matter and assessment that make successful participants eligible for credit towards one unit of QUT's Master of Education. Short course graduates must meet the entry requirements for the Master of Education to be eligible for credit.
Extracurricular activities
We can organise:
- an observation or practical visit to a local childcare centre, primary school, high school or vocational college, during Australian school terms
- professional site visits to relevant local businesses.
Your group can also participate in cultural activities, which may include:
- a trip to the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast
- a visit to the Queensland Art Gallery or Museum
- an excursion to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
- a BBQ at a local park.
Additional services
We:
- assist with visa applications by providing the details of the course and a letter of invitation
- can provide a translator or student helper if required, for an additional charge.
Accommodation
If you're travelling to Brisbane, we can organise:
- homestay accommodation with Brisbane families. A professional homestay coordinator will be available 24 hours per day for the length of the program.
- self-contained units in Brisbane.
You can organise your own accommodation if you prefer.
