Alumni

The history of QUT has been formed by the amalgamation of various institutions. The Faculty of Education in particular has developed from a strong grounding of predecessor institutions including:
  • Brisbane Kindergarten Training College (1911)
  • Queensland Teachers’ Training College (1914)
  • Kelvin Grove Teachers' College (1961)
  • Kedron Park Teachers' College (1961)
  • Brisbane Kindergarten Teachers' College (1965)
  • North Brisbane College of Advanced Education (1974)
  • Kelvin Grove College of Advanced Education (1976)
  • Brisbane College of Advanced Education (1982)
  • QUT Faculty of Education (2001).

Graduates from QUT, or any of these institutions, are welcome to stay in touch through QUT's Alumni office. Why not let us know where you are and what you’re doing? Your continued association may offer you further opportunities in the future, or it may just mean keeping in touch with the developments of the university and old friends.

Mentor a student

A great opportunity to give back and share your skills is through our mentoring program. Approximately one hour a fortnight of your time is requested to provide support and advice to a current student. This could make a great difference to someone about to step into a teaching career.
