You can choose from a broad range of study areas within your Bachelor of Education, Graduate Diploma in Education, or Master of Education.
Bachelor of Education
Early childhood
Teach in primary schools as an early childhood specialist (Prep to Year Three).
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
Primary
Teach across Years One to Seven.
You can choose to specialise in:
- Languages other than English (LOTE)
- Health and physical education (HPE)
- Engaging learners
- English as a second language (ESL)
- Health and physical activity
- Indigenous education
- Literature and media studies
- Literacy
- Numeracy and mathematics
- Research (for high-achieving students)
- Studies in inclusive education.

Secondary
Teach all years in secondary schools (Year Eight to 12).
You'll develop in-depth knowledge in two teaching areas which will guide your career. Choose one teaching area from group X and one from group Y.

Early years

Primary

Middle years
Teach in primary schools and as a middle years teacher (Year Four to Year Nine).
Use the knowledge from your previous study and choose two teaching areas from:
- Arts (dance, drama, music, visual arts)
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social science
- Technology
- LOTE (languages other than English)
- Health and physical education.
Senior years
Teach in secondary schools (Year Eight to 12).
Use the knowledge from your previous study, with your teaching career guided by two teaching areas that you choose from:
