Teacher Education Done Differently (TEDD)

The TEDD project improves the quality of future education professionals through real-world experiences and quality mentoring.

TEDD integrates school-based experiences into the Bachelor of Education degree (QUT Caboolture) and the Certificate lll Education Support (Brisbane North Institute of TAFE). Students enrolled in these courses have opportunities to spend more time in schools undertaking real-world experiences. These experiences strengthen knowledge for teaching and make the links between theory and practice.

TEDD provides support for supervising teachers through the Mentoring for Effective Teaching (MET) professional development program. As part of the project funded by the DEEWR, the MET program has been co-designed with principals, teachers and QUT academics.
