Dr Johanna Einarsdottir will draw on her experience and research to share methods and theory to help consider children's perspective.

Dr Johanna Einarsdottir will draw on her experience and research to share methods and theory to help consider children's perspective. The presentation will focus on researching with young children. Methodology and methods will be discussed and challenges as well as ethical issues involved in conducting research with children will be explored. Examples will be given from Professor Einarsdottir's work on children's perspectives of their preschool teachers and on transition from preschool to primary school.

Dr. Johanna Einarsdottir is a Professor of Early Childhood Education at School of Education, University of Iceland. She is currently the director of the Center for Research in Early Childhood Education at University of Iceland. She has conducted research on preschool and primary school level for years and published her research widely. Her professional interests include continuity and transition in children's learning, children's well-being and learning in preschool, and research with children.
