QUT Creative Enterprises Australia

QUT Creative Enterprise Australia (CEA) is the very first business development agency actively supporting commercially-driven creative industries nation-wide.

Since 2004, QUT Creative Enterprise Australia has been the commercial arm of QUT's award winning $60m Creative Industries Precinct.

QUT Creative Enterprise Australia:

  • operates the Creative Industries Enterprise Centre and Creative Industries Accelerator Hub, providing mentoring and facilities for creative companies to take their business to the next level
  • focuses on helping those in the areas of new media, film and television, design and music at any stage of business development. Assistance for other areas of creative industries may be available by request.
  • provides support to growing creative businesses through mentoring and guidance, creative workspaces, financial support, access to broad networks and a wealth of industry knowledge.

Creative Industries Precinct

The Creative Industries Precinct is a destination for local, national and international productions, exhibitions and events, which showcases emerging digital and new media work.

The precinct boasts:

  • interactive exhibition spaces
  • an experimental black-box theatre
  • a parade ground and outdoor terraces ideal for multi-media performance
  • Australia's largest billboard - 45m x 9m - exhibiting public artwork from some of Australia's most prolific artists and designers.

Kelvin Grove Urban Village

A diverse city fringe community, linking learning with enterprise, creative industry with community, creating a new part of Brisbane that offers unique living solutions, The Kelvin Grove Urban Village is an exciting first for Queensland.

A partnership between the Queensland Government and QUT, this award-winning development sets a new benchmark for inner urban development and is a real example of the Smart State in action.

At the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, people can easily walk from home to work, have a coffee at the local bakery or cafe, or walk to the city or university for an afternoon or evening lecture. It is a place where people of all ages and stages in life can live, shop, dine, go to the theatre or gym, and where young entrepreneurs can work next door to leading researchers. The diverse facilities and mix of tradition and innovation will create a safe, convenient and attractive neighbourhood.
