Scholarships

To assist students in their studies, QUT offers a range of scholarships that provide real support for commencing and continuing students. Individual faculties also offer support through prizes, awards and bursaries.

Caboolture Student Assistance Scheme

We aim to help all Caboolture students experiencing financial difficulty. The Caboolture Student Assistance Scheme can provide assistance with:

  • Textbooks (borrowing textbooks during semester)
  • Photocopying/printing credit
  • Nursing uniforms
  • Vaccinations (for nursing students)
  • First Aid course (for nursing students)

Applications close on week 4 of each semester.

Student Financial Assistance Scheme (SFAS)

We can help with basic living and education costs. Loans are available who students who’ve had a change in circumstances which have impacted on ongoing living and study expenses, such as:

  • Textbooks
  • Rent/rental bond
  • Transport costs
  • Medical and other health related expenses
  • Utility bills
  • Food
  • Car repairs (where the car is necessary for study or work purposes)
  • a basic computer to meet course requirements.

To apply, you’ll need to speak with a Welfare Officer.

Food Bank vouchers

We offer a Foodbank to those students suffering financial hardship. It can provide non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta, canned fruit, tuna, noodles, cereal, soup, toiletry and laundry products. Students can access the Foodbank at all times of the year. Drop into the Student Centre for more information.
