Ethical clearance
All research conducted by or on behalf of QUT staff and students must comply to the legal, moral and ethical standards of society.
All research by QUT staff or students that involve the participation of humans must:
- be undertaken in accordance with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research
- be cleared by the university's Human Research Ethics Committee.

- the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research.
They cover general research conduct, as well as issues relating to animal and human experimentation.
