Scholarships
As an international student, you may be eligible for a scholarship.
Orientation
We offer two free orientation events, one held by the University and one by QUT Business School.
The QUT Business School orientation runs throughout the first four weeks of semester.
Orientation includes:
- important course information and planning your study program
- enrolment assistance
- meeting with staff and students
- tips for success in your study
- information on extracurricular activities.
Once you have accepted your offer of a place at QUT Business School you will be able to register for specific orientation events. To ensure you don’t miss any important sessions, you should arrive in Brisbane at least one week prior to the start of semester.

Student learning advisers
Current undergraduate and postgraduate business students who are nearly finished their studies are available to support you in achieving your study goals.
Language and learning advisers
Our advisers offer a range of services for students who speak English as an additional language.
4S Study Skills Program
This program provides assistance with core units through weekly workshops and individual assessment consultations.
QUT Business School Student Centre
Our Student Centre staff are here to help you with admission, credit transfer, enrolment, administrative and general enquiries.
Student life
While you’re studying here, you’re encouraged to socialise and network through student organisations. You can also take advantage of free professional development modules in our award-winning Business Advantage program, and get involved in international activities.

Our Career Mentor Scheme, the largest in Australia, can match you with an industry professional to give you insight into your chosen field.
You can get free advice on career planning and employment assistance. We are the only university in Australia with an International Career Counsellor who works exclusively with international students and employers.
