Global opportunities
QUT Business School’s reputation is built on a commitment to internationalisation and the opportunities available to you during your studies. While you are here, we encourage you to extend your knowledge and challenge yourself by participating in international activities.
We have partnerships with more than 150 universities around the world. Of these, over 60 universities are QUT Business School preferred partners. These partners have been selected based on their excellence and reputations in business studies.
Student exchange
Employers look for students with international experience, so why not spend one or two semesters overseas at a partner university and at the same time gain credit toward your QUT Business degree?
You’ll develop cross-cultural communication skills and have the chance to form networks with peers and employers overseas.
At most universities the language of instruction is English, but you can undertake language studies while on exchange.
Short term programs
If you can’t spend a semester on exchange, you could consider a short term study program. Undertaken during the semester break, most programs run for two to four weeks. These intensive short term programs include academic study, and cultural and sightseeing activities.
International double degrees
Our partnerships with prestigious overseas universities allow you the opportunity to combine study and travel, and gain a degree from another university along with your QUT degree. Earn two degrees in about the same time it would normally take you to get one.
International business case competitions
Case competitions involve students from leading business schools around the world competing to develop and present solutions to complex business problems.
The QUT Business School is home to one of the most successful competition teams in the world. In 2011/12, our students won more international undergraduate competitions than any other university. This is an outstanding achievement and highlights the standard of education at QUT Business School and the calibre of our students.
We encourage you to put your skills and abilities to the test. You can get involved in competitions at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Other international opportunities
Gaining international perspectives and intercultural skills is about more than just classroom activities. As a QUT student, you can take advantage of a range of personal and professional development opportunities internationally. These include internships, conferences and participation in Model United Nations programs.
