Brisbane Executive Club

The Brisbane Executive Club is the alumni chapter of the QUT Graduate School of Business. Its members are current and past students of postgraduate programs.

The Club aims to ensure everyone benefits from the amazing networking opportunities the School offers, during and beyond their study. Its purpose is to:

  • establish and maintain communication, consultation and cooperation
  • develop and sponsor activities, including group activities to strengthen connection between members
  • provide professional development opportunities, local and international social and business networking; and access to internships and career networking
  • enhance the public image and presence of the University through its alumni
  • support student recruitment and promote the School's reputation
  • inform members about the activities of the Graduate School and the university.
The Club has adopted the constitution of QUT Alumni and also produced separate Chapter Rules specific to the Club.

Membership

Every student and graduate of the QUT Graduate School of Business is a member of the Brisbane Executive Club. No forms or fees are required.

You chose your level of involvement. Participation is encouraged as the Club's growth, survival and prestige are reliant on the involvement of its members. The more you participate, the more benefits you enjoy.

BEC Incubator

Aimed at encouraging current students to initiate and develop new business ventures, the BEC incubator has a number of objectives including, but not limited to:

  • Providing an environment to encourage and support the development of new business ventures
  • Linking current students with expertise from past students, not only sharing knowledge but also providing additional networking opportunities
  • Acting as a 'selection competition' to help QUT select teams to compete at a number of external business school competitions.
