From quality assurance to graduate employment
Our course quality assurance is a continuous process, incorporating regular monitoring, review, and benchmarking for valuable improvements in all courses. Individual course reports prompt an annual check of each course's performance, drawing upon quality, viability and outcomes data.
Reporting for our courses is a critical and diagnostic analysis focusing on significant trends and issues, actions taken and outcomes. The course coordinators or Directors of Study lead the development of the reports for submission to the Faculty Academic Board (FAB) through the Assistant Dean Teaching and Learning and the Assistant Dean Research and Development.
Our Quality Assurance and Course Reporting process guarantees excellence throughout our course design and delivery to ensure accreditation with international bodies and industry groups. Accreditation is only achieved, and sustained, through a rigorous process of improvement, self-evaluation and assessment. We are Australia's first business school to hold all three international accreditations - AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, a recognition that our courses are quality assured and among the best in the world. This makes our graduates more employable, both in Australia and overseas.
Employers of our graduates tell us that graduates from our courses are more employable than graduates from any other university because of their strong practical skills in a work environment; their maturity and broader understandings of commercial realities; strong communication skills; and highly advanced technical skills.
Teaching excellence
We are delighted that two of our staff have been awarded ALTC (Australian Learning and Teaching Council) Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2010.
