We are proud to host the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies.
Accreditation
Your qualification is instantly recognised worldwide.
The programs offered by the School of Accountancy are accredited by professional accounting associations such as:
- CPA Australia (CPA)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA)
- Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
These professional accreditations ensure your degree is well recognised in the industry, and makes our graduates highly sought after by employers both nationally and internationally.
Our graduates are also eligible for exemptions in the qualifying program for membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). The selection of relevant units can also extend your prior degree studies in accounting to meet the academic requirements for enrolment in the CPA, ICAA and IPA programs, or towards registration as a tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board.
QUT Business School is Australia's first business school with triple international accreditation, a distinction held by less than 1% of business schools worldwide.
Research
Our researchers apply their skills to solve contemporary accounting problems facing businesses. They focus on governance, forensics, accountability, regulation, and non-profit and social enterprise.
