Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies

The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies promotes collaboration between academics and research students with expertise in philanthropy, nonprofit organisations, and the social economy.

National Centre for Econometric Research

The National Centre for Econometric Research promotes research in developing of new methodologies, estimating economic and financial behaviour, and assessing the effects of public policy. The National Centre for Econometric Research is an initiative of QUT and the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

Groups

These competitive programs of existing and emerging research strength have received nearly $1.5 million in funding over two years from QUT Business School. The funding will encourage research intensification, support research culture, and enable the mentorship of early career researchers.

Queensland Behavioural Economics Group (QuBE)

This group focuses on the application of knowledge in economic behaviour in the areas of social and natural sciences, including health, education and information technology.

Behavioural Governance Group

The Behavioural Governance Group examines what happens in Australian boardrooms and how board directors contribute to corporate outcomes.

Economics of Environmental Performance Group

This research looks at ways to reduce the level of negative externalities associated with production, by improving environmental performance and examining the impact of information on public attitudes to the use of natural resources.

Not-for-Profit Accounting and Accountability Group

This group aims to develop an accountability-based reporting framework for the Australian not-for-profit sector to enhance operational vitality, performance measurement and stakeholder communication.

People and Performance Group

This research investigates the processes by which human resource management practices impact on individual, group and organisational performance.

Consumer Research Group

This research examines the social and cognitive processes underlying the behaviour of individual consumers and consumer groups to enhance business competitiveness.
