Social enterprise in Australia: Developing a shared research agenda

05 November 2010

In recent years, the idea of social enterprise has attracted new interest from citizens, governments, civil society organisations and social investors. While interest in social enterprise is growing, the knowledge base needed to support this growth is in its infancy in Australia and internationally. This exciting one day forum will bring together social enterprise leaders, researchers, and policy makers to consider the knowledge needs of social enterprise and to identify any common agendas for action.

This forum would be of interest to social business people, policy makers, academic and industry researchers and research students. It was sponsored by the Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Jobs Australia, MECU and Social Traders. The QUT social enterprise research program is a joint initiative of QUT and the Westpac Foundation.
