Buildings
Through holistic design and environmentally rated buildings, QUT aims to reduce environmental impact, running costs, and energy and water bills.

Energy
The University has implemented a number of projects aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing maintenance of lighting, air conditioning, solar power, and computer labs.

Green IT
With some significant improvements to computer and printing management in student labs, energy consumption and carbon emissions can be reduced by 40% and 30%, respectively.

Water
QUT continues to implement programs to further reduce water usage.

Transport
A number of inter- and intra-campus transport services are available to QUT students and staff.

Waste Management
Recycling is prevalent and supported on all QUT campuses.
