Internet resources

QUT staff and students have access to a number of online guides and tutorials to assist with searching and using the Internet. QUT organisational areas have access to free web hosting and technical support.

Internet access and use

The University provides up to 24 hour computer access for both students and staff. A full list of computing facilities can be found on the Lab Monitor website. Lab Monitor provides current computer availability information about Gardens Point labs, Kelvin Grove labs, and Caboolture labs.

QUT's Internet Access Service covers internet quotas and usage reports.

The IT Services Guide includes tips to save your Internet access quota and how you can extend your quota.

The QUT Copyright Guide discusses copyright issues about downloading material from, or publishing material to, the Internet.

QUT Library provides help and tools for finding high quality information on the web. KickSTART, StudySMART offers workshops, guides and online tutorials on finding and evaluating information.

Web hosting

The University provides a web hosting service, web technical support and advice for QUT's organisational units, through Digital Services. Digital Services also provides website and web application development and consultancy on a cost recovery basis.

Standard teaching unit websites are hosted on QUT Blackboard.
