QUT's students and staff can access the University's resources from external locations within Australia and overseas.

The Secure Access Service (SAS) provides a secure way to access QUT's information resources from a location external to QUT, through an ISP, or from other universities.

QUT Dial-in Service provides the information staff need to access QUT'S online services from an external location.

Education Roaming (eduroam) is a wireless service which allows QUT staff and students to use wireless networks at cooperating universities in Australia and around the world.

QUT staff can connect to the Internet to read QUT email and access the University's information services at local call costs while overseas. This service is explained in QUT Global Roaming.
