QUT Home

Transport

There are many forms of transport available to QUT students, staff, and visitors to all campuses. Options for cyclists, including dedicated bikeways and secure campus bike racks, are also provided (please refer to Facilities Management - Bicycles on Campus).

Public Transport

You can travel to and from QUT's campuses using buses, trains, and taxis; a river ferry or the CityCat will also take you to Gardens Point campus. Travel options are outlined in Public transport.

QUT's Accommodation Services provides a lot of information regarding both inter-campus and public transport. Students are also capable of finding and advertising accommodation by using the provided database.

More information on public transport in Brisbane, including the Airtrain service to Brisbane airports, is available from TransLink.

Cars and parking

Parking at QUT is very limited, particularly on the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses. See Parking Services for more information on parking spaces, permits, and casual parking options.

Inter-campus transport

QUT provides shuttle buses (the 391 service) to assist students and staff travelling between campuses for the purpose of attending lectures (where students are required to travel between two campuses) or attending to University business. The services are operated for the University by the Brisbane City Council year round except on weekends, public holidays, and the days between Christmas Day and New Years Day. The 391 service runs between the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses.

Refer to the Shuttle Bus page for more information about the services and the latest timetables.
