Learning and teaching

QUT's teaching goal is to ensure that graduates possess knowledge, professional competence, a sense of community responsibility, and a capacity to continue their professional development throughout their lives. QUT's Learning and Teaching Plan aims to support QUT's teaching aims by:

• strengthening our reputation for quality teaching and learning and provide one of the best learning environments in Australia
• strengthening our "real world" excellence in teaching through better partnerships across internal and external boundaries
• integrating appropriate information and communications technology into the diverse learning environment
• developing environments that foster and reward high-quality teaching and scholarship and that build a sense of community.

At QUT, students and staff work together to create quality learning environments. As an important aspect of this communication, QUT makes sure that students are able to share their thoughts, ideas and suggestions on how we can make our learning and teaching even better. From 2007, the Your Feedback site:

• shows how we invite and collect feedback on the quality of teaching and learning
• provides summaries of previous feedback results and the changes QUT makes in response to feedback
• encourages comments and suggestions throughout the year via TellQUT.
