The Cube
Now open in QUT’s Science and Engineering Centre, The Cube is one of the world's largest digital interactive learning and display spaces for science, technology, engineering and maths. The Cube will be the hub of scientific exploration for high school students, the QUT community and the wider public. It will inspire and engage the next generation of thinkers and doers with a year-round calendar of workshops, activities, exhibitions and events for children, young adults and the general public.
The Cube soars across two storeys of the new Science and Engineering Centre and comprises over 40 multi-touch, multi-user screens. The interactive screens provide a game-like environment where people of all ages can engage in learning about science, technology, engineering and maths in a fun and educational setting. School students can explore science and technology applications by participating in Lego Education® robotics workshops, knowledge treks, digital tours and hands-on holiday programs.
QUT has a strong commitment to supporting education in science, technology, engineering and maths to address the skills shortages in science and engineering professions. The Cube is an interactive education centre of discovery and exploration in science, technology, engineering and maths. An investment in The Cube education programs will ensure our youth are our future workforce and a better future will be created for all.
