Support community projects

The contributions we make to the community are made possible by the generous support of philanthropists, alumni, and business and government leaders.

We facilitate and support community projects to bring about employment, economic development, improved health, social stability and cultural enrichment.

Education and research programs

We often work with schools in areas of economic or social disadvantage to create educational and career aspiration in young people, and to address identified areas of future national skills shortages and under-representation in non-traditional professions

Cultural and community development programs

The programs we offer to Indigenous communities address areas of critical need including health, access to education, promotion of cultural awareness and social justice for Australia's Indigenous people.

Our students also participate in programs where they use problem solving, resources and technology to create solutions for issues that different communities face, locally and globally.

Resources and facilities

We are able to provide public access to programs operated through university resources, facilities and expertise particularly in law, education and community health.

Health and research initiatives

Our research initiatives address critical community health issues through research and collaborations with communities, health professionals, government and business.

Collaboration with industry and government

Our staff and students work with community partners and peak organisations, particularly not-for-profit and social enterprises, to devise policies and programs which enhance people's livelihoods and involvement/connection to community.

Your involvement ensures we can continue to deliver real benefits to the community now and for future generations.
