CIB World Building Congress 2013
The triennial CIB World Building Congress will showcase the world's best building and construction research and attract about 500 delegates from 70 countries when it is hosted by QUT from May 5 to 10 this year.
The 2013 congress will coincide with the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction's (CIB) 60th anniversary. Since its establishment in 1953, the CIB has developed into a worldwide network of over 5000 experts from about 500 member organisations.
The congress will involve more than 50 CIB working commissions and task groups, ranging from engineering and architecture to safety, marketing and law.
It will be hosted by QUT and the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre, and held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
