The 2012 winning team from Caloundra SHS
Student Business Competition 2013
Local schools are invited to put together a team of 4-6 grade twelve students to battle in our Student Business Competition.
Teams will receive a real world case study and be asked to analyse the problem and develop a solution. After spending the morning working through the case study as a team, the students will then give a 10-minute presentation to a panel of leading local business experts. With over $50,000 in cash and prizes on offer, this is an event not to be missed.
Participants
Participants should demonstrate an interest in business studies and/or currently study business electives at school. This is an event that is suitable for high-achieving Year 12 students.
Prior to the competition
Once registered, each team will receive a preparation kit including a practice case study and a number of tools, to allow teachers to mentor students towards success in the competition. Teams should receive the kit at the start of April to allow two weeks of preparation time prior to the competition date.
Awards ceremony - Tuesday 23rd April
Parents and guests are invited to join the students at the awards night where the winner of the 2012 Student Business Competition will be announced. Each group will present a shortened version of their final presentation so parents and guests can see the work the students produced.

All students that participate in the Student Business Competition will receive a free ticket for them and their parents to attend our inaugural Student Leadership Evening.
