I’m Jeanine. I am the Area Manager for Small Business at ANZ Bank, and I’m currently doing the EMBA through QUT.

The course has a big leadership focus, and it encourages us to do a lot of self-analysis. We do use a lot of theory, but in the end it’s the practical part of it that really makes you learn. And already there’s been so much that I’ve been able to apply in my role. Not only have I changed my leadership style where it was necessary, but I’ve also been able to think about my job a lot more strategically and apply those skills that I’ve learnt through the course.

One of the biggest benefits of the Executive MBA is the fact that you work with the same cohort throughout the course. Everyone comes to this course with different skills and from different industries, so the relationships that you form are really close, and are very important while you’re on the course. They also form a very important part of your professional network for the rest of your career.

The course has really changed the way that I look at business. It has enabled me to take myself out of the detail and really look at things from a different perspective. How would this impact the whole company? And also to think about business in a global environment as well.
