Professor Reece Walters, Assistant Dean (Research) Faculty of Law:
Welcome to Research in the Faulty of Law at QUT where we conduct impactful, insightful and international research within an environment that is dynamic, supportive and collegial.
Professor Belinda Carpenter, Director of Research, School of Justice:
We do applied research across a range of areas. It’s motivating because we know we’re thinking about things in different ways and we’re coming up with new solutions to old problems.
Professor Reece Walters, Assistant Dean (Research) Faculty of Law:
We are incredibly strong in the areas of Health Law and Crime and Research. We have just developed and launched two research centres. But we are also internationally known for our research in environment natural resources law, commercial and property law and innovation and intellectual property law. There are many success stories. It’s a great place to work and it’s a great place to study.
Mabel Tsui PhD Candidate, Faculty of Law:
I have the opportunity to be able to go attend conferences, both nationally and internationally and on top of that the admin staff here also make sure that they provide both administrative support as well as funding support to enable this to happen and overall I find it quite exciting.
Professor Reece Walters, Assistant Dean (Research) Faculty of Law:
We have research collaborations with people all around the world doing great and exciting things.
Associate Professor Ben Mathews Director of Research, School of Law:
We have great connections with researchers at institutions of the calibre of Oxford University, Harvard University and National Institutes of Health and the University of Colorado.
