Note: Subject outlines often change before the semester begins. Below is a sample outline.
Rationale
The Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology course is designed to prepare you for clinical careers but students often have broader interests in the field of Movement Science and Conditioning. This unit provides a structured and supervised 200 hour vocational experience that allows you to gain experience outside the clinical areas. This extended practicum experience gives you an opportunity to apply the practical and theoretical content of your degree program, to experience firsthand the rigours and reality of full-time work, and to develop a range of generic and specific professional skills.
The School's practicum program is also intended to foster closer working relationships between the university and potential employers in both the private and public sectors. Such relationships will significantly benefit the university and the industry, as well as supporting the growth of further job opportunities for students.
Aims
To apply the practical and theoretical knowledge gained in your studies of Exercise Science to a workplace environment, and to further develop your skills and competencies.
Objectives
On completion of the unit, you should be able to:

After a suitable period of orientation, you are expected to participate fully in the day-to-day operation of the organisation.
