The unit is informed by the concepts of governance, discipline, and the relationship between power and knowledge to think critically about the circumstances and conditions through which sex and sexuality are criminalised. In Module Two, these concepts are applied to particular 'cases' of sexual deviance in contemporary Australian and, where relevant, international contexts.
