This component of the Honours program represents the preparation by the student of a body of literature relevant to the dissertation. The literature review is a critical analysis of the issues and arguments pertaining to the topic. In the case of those students undertaking a qualitative study, the literature review may also include a discussion of the literature pertaining to the philosophical framework. Thus, this unit provides the opportunity for students to identify and review the literature relevant to the selected research topic.
