Rationale
It is important when studying animation to be aware of the production practices involved in creating an animated work. This unit provides you with opportunity to engage in an original animated production in response to a project brief.
Aims
This unit aims to expose you to all stages of animated production ensuring you are aware of the creative and technical challenges that accompany such production. By responding to a project brief and working closely with a project supervisor, you will apply your existing underpinning skills and knowledge to an original creative production. This experience will consolidate and extend your skills and knowledge developed throughout your studies.
Objectives
On completion of this unit you should be able to:
1. Create an original animated outcome in response to a project brief
2. Demonstrate innovation within a digital media environment.
3. Identify and evaluate contemporary animated production workflows.
4. Select and apply relevant technologies to resolve creative and technical problems.
Content
This is a problem based, student centred learning experience. You will participate in a series of workshops, seminars and individual consultations specific to a production project. You are expected to meet regularly with your project supervisor to seek guidance on strategies for resolving creative and technical challenges related to your ongoing creative project.

Assessment
LATE ASSIGNMENTS
An assignment submitted after the due date without an approved extension will not be marked. If you are unable to complete your assignment on time, you should submit on time whatever work you have done.
