Rationale
This unit is designed for students who have completed at least one year of full time study of a QUT Creative Industries course and are ready to expand their horizons. Creative cities contain tourist districts, art museums, galleries, fashion houses, creative precincts, production houses and the like, managed by internationally recognised cultural producers, designers and professionals. The unit seeks to have you experience the creative milieux of these cities and inform you about their cultural and social frameworks.
Important note:
Places on tours are limited and each study tour will have its own criteria for selection. The estimated student cost of each tour varies (for example the 2-3 week tour to New York is usually around $5000). To apply for one of the CI International Study Tours please submit an application addressing the selection criteria as stated in each study tour description by the designated application closing date. Applications should be submitted to ci.transitions@qut.edu.au The study tour supervisor will assess applications and select and inform students of their eligibility to undertake the tour. After acceptance a place on the tour will be confirmed by the payment of a deposit and the completion of QUT insurance forms.
You will find details about the CI International Study tours and how to apply at the QUT Transitions Hub site at:
