This unit introduces students to selected contemporary legal issues affecting children in Australia. These issues present both legal and moral questions that have implications for legal practice and policy development. This unit gives students the opportunity to identify current legal positions about controversial issues in Australian law relating to children, and to apply advanced skills in legal research, analysis and writing to critically evaluate those positions.
